Thursday, June 20: ABC Theologians Conference: “Baptists and the Spirit: Living into God’s Future”
Two ABSW faculty members will be presenting papers at this pre-mission summit event. Jennifer Davidson—“Creation's Groans and Spirit's Sighs: Cultivating Attentiveness to the Spirit through the Practices of Concerns and Celebrations” and LeAnn Snow Flesher—“Wherein Lies Our Eschatological Hope?” 

Friday, June 21: Asian American Baptist Caucus Convocation
ABSW Director of Admissions, Rev. Marie Onwubuariri, serving as President of the Asian Caucus will lead the way in presenting three major projects as the Caucus transitions into a new organizational structure and mission focus as the Alliance of Asian American Baptist churches: 1) The proposal of new provisional bylaws to guide the Alliance into a new era of ministry, including a revised leadership model and expanded mission and ministry emphases; 2) The official start of the Intergenerational Covenant Circles project, funded by the Virginia and Gordon Palmer, Jr., Trust Grant Program, which seeks to encourage intergenerational dialogue and discipleship among young adults; and 3) the release of the Launch Version of the Ministry Resource Manual, an ongoing publication providing guidelines, procedures and insights for those engaging in ministry in Asian American Baptist contexts. The Convocation will culminate in a Friday night dinner event, featuring The Rev. Dr. Donald Ng, Pastor of First Baptist Church San Francisco, Vice President of ABCUSA and 2013 recipient of an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from ABSW.

Friday, June 21: Black Caucus ABCUSA Dinner
Dr. Paul M. Martin, President of ABSW and First Vice President of the Black Caucus will be involved in the dinner celebration of the caucus honoring the leadership of the President Dr. D. Daniel Jones. 

Saturday, June 22: American Baptist Seminary of the West Breakfast Event
Meet with and receive updates from ABSW Administrators Dr. Paul Martin, Rev. Michelle Holmes, and Dr. LeAnn Snow Flesher and Board of Trustees Chairman, Rev. Dr. H. Jim Hopkins at our Saturday morning breakfast event. Reconnect with former classmates, meet other ABSW family members, and introduce someone new to ABSW and our mission. The program will also include a special musical number from Dr. Agnes Martin, Rev. Marie Onwubuariri speaking on “Our Multi-__ Landscape: Scenes for Theological Education,” and other special presentations.

Sunday, June 23: Evening Worship Service and Recognition of Sumner Grant and Louis Barbarin
President Martin has been invited to celebrate the transition of leadership for MMBB by offering the prayer during the worship experience.
