"Let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest-time, if we will not give up." Galatians 6:9
Join us for a Community Forum scheduled during our chapel time on Monday, October 10, 2011, at 6:00 PM. (We will still meet in the Claiborne M. Hill chapel, as usual.)
This evening we will be joined by Rev. Lauran D. Bethell who will share with us about her remarkable work with victims of human trafficking and prostitution. Since 1986 Lauran has been passionate about sharing Jesus' hope and healing with those caught up in human trafficking and prostitution--and offering prevention opportunities for those at risk.
Lauran served as the first Director of the New Life Center in Chiang Mai, Thailand for 14 years before God led her in 2001 to share her pioneering experiences as a Global Consultant. She is now based in The Netherlands, from which she travels extensively, encouraging Christians in their involvement in anti-trafficking endeavors. She is founder and Coordinator of the International Christian Alliance on Prostitution (ICAP), which offers resources, networks, and conferencing to ministries with people in prostitution.
We are delighted that Lauran will also be our speaker at this year's graduation! Be sure to come out on this night to get to know better Lauran and the amazing, transformative work she does!
